ROC City Mustangz is a vibrant community of Mustang enthusiasts dedicated to celebrating love of classic and modern cars. We participate in exciting car shows, showcasing our passion while bringing families together for unforgettable experiences. Our commitment extends beyond the car scene, as proudly organize charity events to give back to our community.
Our Story
The ROC City Mustangz was founded in 2011 by our current President, Chris Washington. After attending a few local events with a couple of car clubs in the area and feeling slightly discouraged by the lack of inclusion, he decided to start his own car club where a focus on family and friendships would be the priority. Chris has said on numerous occasions,
“I never want anyone to feel the way I felt, and I realized that the only way I could control that and ensure no one else does is to create my own club. where everyone matters and we are family”
The ROC City Mustangz started very small, with just 4-5 members, but over the years it has grown to become the largest Mustang Club in Western New York, with memberships totaling over 150 on an annual basis.
The ROC City Mustangz isn’t just a typical car club. We aren’t very strict, and we don’t mandate our members to do anything except what they want to do. There are no minimum requirements for participation, no point system to maintain any club status, no pressure, and everyone is treated with the utmost respect; we’re family in the truest sense of the word. We place huge emphasis on community outreach, family, fun, and establishing friendships. We have all different types of members, from hardcore track and drag strip focused members, to the laid-back members who just want to chill and cruise.
Over the years we have made a lot of adjustments to how we operate and how we do our car shows and club sponsored events, but our core vision has remained consistent. The three tenets we stand behind are: Friends, Family, and the great Ford Mustang!
